American Justice

American Justice-What can be improved By Bob Stewart America does have some wonderful programmes which can turn lives around. Those whose lives had gone off the rails at some point have re entered society and society is all the better for it but there is still room for improvement. Here are some suggestions: 1-Just locking up teenagers for virtually their whole life is a real cop out. They may have done wrong but the object has to be to reintegrate them into the community at some point and give them the opportunity to build a life for themselves on the outside. 2-A good idea would be to allow some of them to go on weekend leaves say one year from their release date to gradually get a feel of life on the outside. As for responsibility for various crimes: 3-Whoever owns/in possession of a fire arm should be the person responsible for any outcomes which occur if someone is shot 4-Adults who supply drugs to minors should be made responsible for any crimes commit...

DEFINITION OF RESPONSIBILITY

Meaning of Responsibility By Bob Stewart The meaning of responsibility "If you accept responsibility for something   that has happened, you agree that you   caused it, or were to blame." Collins School Dictionary If a 16-year-old girl asks her 19-year-old boyfriend Charley to kill her family, then who is responsible for Charley's actions? Was it Charley or his 16-year-old girlfriend? Honestly, I believe that Erin took a greater percentage of the blame for her family tragedy than szhe should have. It is fair enough for Erin to take responsibility for her part which has done but not take the entire blame. When Erin's co-accused were being questioned they all pointed the finger at Erin and told the investigating officer that it wa her idea but did the investigating officer not think to ask them whether they thought this was all a bad idea. Getting back to responsibility. If someone in an online troll tells someone to kill themselves and they do j...

Connecting with the Right Company

He who walks with wise men shall be wise but a companion of fools will be destroyed. Proverbs 13:30 Written by Bob Stewart The people you spend most of your time with will influence how your life turns out. Often circumstances are such that people end up with company that is not ideal. It is not uncommon for people to be born into a drug and crimefree atmosphere. These are situations which are beyond the control of these people. But others end up in bad company in one way or another and in this post I am going to give some examples of how one can be controlled and how others can take advantage of this. There is a link between desires and fears. They basically feed off one another. An addict who desires drugs has the fear of not being supplied with drugs. The addict is then controlled by the supplier. In this way teenagers can be taken advantage of and are unable to severe ties with those who are abusing them. Love or lust is another desire which has its fears. The fear ...

LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

Lessons must be learned from Caffey tragedy One Australian pastor once said "There are three ways of learning, the easy way where you learn from other people's mistakes, the hard way where you learn from your own mistakes or the tragic way where you never learn from your own mistakes." There are so many tragedies involving guns in America that most of them are a carbon copy of previous tragedies involving guns or a variation of them. It leads me to ask the question, "Do Americans or rather those in a position to make the necessary change ever learn?" You can understand why people are getting frustrated with all of this lack of action. I just wonder how US politicians would feel if it was one of their kids who were gunned down in the class room. Now on to Erin Caffey which this article is all about. I believer there needs to be a change in how minors are dealt with. Erin was 16 at the time of the offending but she was led astray by her then boyfri...

ERIN CAFFEY TAKES MORE THAN HER SHARE OF THE BLAME

If someone told you to do something! Would you do it irrespective of the consequences? "If someone told you to jump in the lake would you do it"? Our teacher at school used to say this to a kid when he or she used the excuse, "But they told me to do it." Erin Caffey (16) planned the murder of her parents in 2007 at Alba Texas. Her two brothers Mathew and Tyler were murdered in the process along with her Mum, Penny while her Dad, Terry survived with 11 gunshot wounds. Erins, then boyfriend, Charlie Wilkinson (19) and an associate Charles Waid (20) carried out the masscre while Waid's then girlfriend Bobbi Johnston (18) and Erin waited in Johnstone's car. Wilkinson, Waid, and Johnstone all told investigating officers that it was all Erin's idea. It appears that the investigating officer's never asked the trio who were questioned independantly whether Erin's plan was all a bad idea. I think it would have been interesting to ...

Erin Caffey a Shooting Scapegoat

Erin Caffey Shooting Scapegoat Whenever a drunk driver gets behind the wheel of an auto mobile and later kills someone, who is responsible for the deaths? The driver or its passengers? Should the passengers be charged as a party to this crime? I believe that as far as the law is concerned, the driver is solely responsible for any traffic laws which are broken and this is applicable in all countries around the world unless I am mistaken. In 2007, 16-year-old Erin Caffey's then 19-year-old boyfriend and an associate entered the home of Erin's parents and killed Erin's mother and two younger sibling brothers. Erin's Dad survived the attack. Erin and a friend stayed in a waiting car while their boyfriends carried out the attack. It was later revealed that it was all Erin's idea. That may be so but..... Isn't someone in possession of a firearm solely responsible for its use and if someone who is a minor causes death or serious injury from a f...

Terry Caffey Criticism Unfair?

Unfair Criticism for Terry Caffey? Terry Caffey, the father of Erin has received a bit of criticism on social media. The criticism seems to be levelled at the money he is taking from people who luistens to his sermons. Now I do not know much about that part of his life because he and the church which he I believe pastors is hard to find on the internet. All I can say is that the financial situation with his church and its members is no different than that of say the Lakewood Church or hundreds of others in Texas. My issue with some such churches is that they burden members with guilt in order to give money to them. That is called "Manipulation by guilt" but that is not to say that Terry is doing that because as I have said, I know absolutely nothing about his financial arrangements. I understand Terry was preaching a kind of message about the dangers of hanging out with the wrong crowd after his daughter Erin's experiences. It is only hoped that the people who n...
