Connecting with the Right Company

He who walks with wise men shall be wise but a companion of fools will be destroyed. Proverbs 13:30 Written by Bob Stewart The people you spend most of your time with will influence how your life turns out. Often circumstances are such that people end up with company that is not ideal. It is not uncommon for people to be born into a drug and crimefree atmosphere. These are situations which are beyond the control of these people. But others end up in bad company in one way or another and in this post I am going to give some examples of how one can be controlled and how others can take advantage of this. There is a link between desires and fears. They basically feed off one another. An addict who desires drugs has the fear of not being supplied with drugs. The addict is then controlled by the supplier. In this way teenagers can be taken advantage of and are unable to severe ties with those who are abusing them. Love or lust is another desire which has its fears. The fear

LEARNING FROM MISTAKES

Lessons must be learned from Caffey tragedy One Australian pastor once said "There are three ways of learning, the easy way where you learn from other people's mistakes, the hard way where you learn from your own mistakes or the tragic way where you never learn from your own mistakes." There are so many tragedies involving guns in America that most of them are a carbon copy of previous tragedies involving guns or a variation of them. It leads me to ask the question, "Do Americans or rather those in a position to make the necessary change ever learn?" You can understand why people are getting frustrated with all of this lack of action. I just wonder how US politicians would feel if it was one of their kids who were gunned down in the class room. Now on to Erin Caffey which this article is all about. I believer there needs to be a change in how minors are dealt with. Erin was 16 at the time of the offending but she was led astray by her then boyfri

ERIN CAFFEY TAKES MORE THAN HER SHARE OF THE BLAME

If someone told you to do something! Would you do it irrespective of the consequences? "If someone told you to jump in the lake would you do it"? Our teacher at school used to say this to a kid when he or she used the excuse, "But they told me to do it." Erin Caffey (16) planned the murder of her parents in 2007 at Alba Texas. Her two brothers Mathew and Tyler were murdered in the process along with her Mum, Penny while her Dad, Terry survived with 11 gunshot wounds. Erins, then boyfriend, Charlie Wilkinson (19) and an associate Charles Waid (20) carried out the masscre while Waid's then girlfriend Bobbi Johnston (18) and Erin waited in Johnstone's car. Wilkinson, Waid, and Johnstone all told investigating officers that it was all Erin's idea. It appears that the investigating officer's never asked the trio who were questioned independantly whether Erin's plan was all a bad idea. I think it would have been interesting to
